T-shirt to Tote Volunteer
- A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
28 people are interested
Volunteers are needed to cut, sew or tie, and stamp T-shirts into reusable totes. With the help of volunteers, River Keepers turns gently used T-shirts into reusable totes. River Keepers finds plastic bags caught in trees along the Red River. The purpose of this project is to reduce plastic bag use and encourage people to use reusable bags instead. River Keepers distributes T-shirt totes at community events through out the year and several stores in Fargo including Prarie Roots Co-op, Swansons Health and Food Products, and Tochi.
Volunteers can take supplies home or work on them from River Keepers office. If volunteering at our offices, volunteers typically schedule 1 to 2 hours.

To advocate safe and sustainable use of the Red River of the North in Fargo, ND - Moorhead, MN (F-M).
River Keepers is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization advocating safe and sustainable use of the Red River of the North through workshops, youth service-learning projects and advocacy. We work "hand-in hand" with civic, corporate and political leaders, local watershed groups and the public at-large. River Keepers grew from a desire to rediscover the Red River’s heritage, and to teach people to again appreciate the Red as a living River.
