Purpose
The American Red Cross seeks an information management volunteer for the Restoring Family Links Program. The RFL program, a part of the American Red Cross International Services department, works to reconnect families that have been separated internationally due to migration, armed conflict, natural disasters, and other humanitarian crises. To do our work quickly and efficiently it is crucial for us to have the most up to date information on all of our staff and volunteers throughout the country. We are looking for a volunteer to help in the management of this information at the headquarters level.
The Volunteer will begin by conducting an audit of RFL program contacts in the American Red Cross regional offices and updating associated systems. He/She will ensue that there is a primary and secondary point of contact in all 60+ regions and that they are properly on board with information regarding their positions with the Restoring Family Links Program.
Key Responsibilities
Primary responsibility will be to review with whom National Headquarters communicates concerning RFL program information, contact Red Cross chapters throughout the United States with a completed summary of information, monitor feedback from chapters and make changes to the various systems accord
