Hospitality House of Tulsa is seeking a responsible volunteer to pick up donated food items on the weekends from various restaurants in the Tulsa area and drop it off at our Welcome Center located at 1135 S. Victor Ave.

The food must be picked up and delivered by 3:30pm on the occasional Saturday or Sunday. The volunteer is also welcome to help box up and deliver food to the Family Guest Suites with staff assistance.

As a Meals of Love volunteer, you will be a part of providing a meal for families who have traveled 30 miles or more into Tulsa during a medical crisis. Meals of Love helps to relieve some of the financial burden that our families face by decreasing the cost of their out of pocket expenses by providing free meals.

If you would like to make a big impact, but don't have a lot of time in your schedule, this opportunity could be for you!

1 Shift

  • afternoon / 02:00 PM to 03:30 PM
    Saturday or Sunday afternoons as needed.

Hospitality House of Tulsa is a non-profit organization that provides family-centered, home-like lodging and support services to families and their loved ones who are receiving medical treatment far from their home communities. We provide a 'home away from home" for approximately 1,000 families each year.

Description

Since its founding in 2006, Hospitality House of Tulsa has served over 4,780 families traveling to Tulsa for critical medical care. By providing home-like lodging, meals, prayer support, transportation assistance, and other support services, Hospitality House helps families that would otherwise be sleeping in a waiting room chair or their vehicle while their loved one is in the hospital. With 13 family suites located at 1135 S. Victor Ave. serving all 14 Tulsa-area hospitals, Hospitality House is dedicated to providing a 'home away from home' for families traveling in medical crisis.
