Hospice volunteers can work in the office, or visit patients in their home. Volunteers provide companionship and respite services when visiting in the home or facility. Things a volunteer can do might include singing, reading a book, or simply conversing with the patient. Volunteers also provide the caregiver an opportunity to have a break, run errands, etc. Volunteers can give as much time as they would like, hours are flexible.
