Dining for Dignity Gala

It our second annual fundraising gala, and once again we are sold out! We're looking for volunteers to help with set up, registration, silent auction, live auction and clean up. The event itself starts at 6 pm and will be cocktail attire, so volunteers are asked to be dressed in something appropriate or all black. Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Volunteers will not be asked to work the entire event but will be broken down into shifts of 2-3 hours depending on your preferred role. The event will break down something like this:
6 pm - cocktails and silent auction
7 pm - dinner
8 pm - brief presentation and live auction (ending about 8:45 before people will check out and leave)
You're welcome to request a particular piece to assist with, but we'd really like people who have done similar events in the past. E-mail us for more information.

NourishKC, formerly known as Episcopal Community Services, specializes in a unique blend of food related programs.
The Kansas City Community Kitchen provides more than 1500 restaurant-style meals each week to anyone who comes to eat. Our Food Security Network supplies thousands more meals per year through a network of food pantries, BackSnack programs and other meal programs around the metro. Perhaps what makes us most unique is our Culinary Cornerstones training program which provides individuals an opportunity to learn life skills as well as culinary skills, giving them a chance to get a living wage job that will provide them with food access for the long term.
