Do You Want To Help Identify Areas Where American Red Cross Volunteers Can Help Throughout the Community?
We are looking for volunteer leaders that want to create a better volunteer experience developing a platform that empowers and supports our volunteers and their desire to improve community engagement, address unmet needs, and continuously offer opportunities for rewarding experiences that have impact.
The Community Relations and Outreach Team will have the autonomy to work with communities and find opportunities where the Red Cross can help. With the full support of the American Red Cross staff and existing volunteers, the sky is the limit. Members of the Community Relations and Outreach Team are volunteers that love to interact with the community, find information, meet people, and plan volunteer events all while having fun.
Requirements:
1. Willingness to assume a leadership position to help identify and plan community volunteer events.
2. Work with other members of a volunteer leadership team to plan and coordinate one weekend event every six weeks (typically on a Saturday).
3. Conduct administrative tasks as needed between each event.
4. Communicate with volunteers using the Red Cross Volunteer Management System
