Archway Housing and Services is a nonprofit organization that builds and manages affordable housing communitieds for low-income families and individuals. We also provide on site, free social services for our residents, including adult education classes, community events, and youth enrichment programing.
We are currently looking for an Adult Cooking Teacher for our location in Arvada, at 69th and Sheridan. We have around 5 low-income parents who are interested in learning how to cook simple, healthy meals for their families. We offer our residents twice a week food bank services with fresh fruits and vegetables so these foods can be encorporated into the classes. This would be a one time a week class for one to two hours.

Description
Archway Communities was founded with the belief that affordable housing is a crucial element in building healthy communities. In pursuit of that belief, we seek opportunities to purchase vacant land for new construction or renovate obsolete multifamily developments. Shortly after we were founded, we began to recognize that residents need more than affordable housing to stabilize their lives - many were struggling with challenges like food insecurity, recovering from chronic homelessness, unemployment, single parenting, obtaining citizenship, and others. Archway Communities instituted the Supportive Services Program- resident focused, on-site programming- to address the needs of those living in our communities beyond simply providing a roof over their heads.
