Who are we?
Opportunity Saint Paul is a program of Interfaith Action of Greater Saint Paul that harnesses the transformative work of volunteers to both relieve the effects of poverty and address its root causes. We match interfaith volunteers with partner organizations that have proven records of strengthening economic mobility. We then support our volunteers and partner organizations through learning events designed to advance understanding of and ability to increase economic mobility in our communities.
How can you help?
We're seeking passionate, dedicated people ready to make an impact. Volunteers commit to weekly tutoring, job coaching or mentoring with one of our seven nonprofit partners in Saint Paul, as well as to attending six learning community evenings throughout the year.
Volunteer positions are available at: Saint Paul Public Libraries, Daily Work, Neighborhood House, Eastside Learning Center, Reading Partners, Amherst H. Wilder Foundation, and Common Bond Communities. No previous training is required for any of the volunteer positions.
Community learning events provide opportunities to learn about the most effective ways to address poverty and to build relationships with other volunteers.
