Pay bills, keep and balance books, and peroform monthly bank reconcilliation for faithbased nonprofit organization fighting to end hunger in the Albany, NY area. Accounts currently kept in QuickBooks Premier for Nonprofits.
Accounts involved include checking account, 3 credit cards issued to staff (connected to checking account), as well as an investment and saving account.
You need to be available at least twice a month for 1-3 hours each time.
Payroll for 11 staff ( through Paychex) runs on the 15th and final day of each month. These are the times you would be most needed. Bills will also be paid at these times, through voucher system prepared by Office Manager and approved by the Executive Director.
Monthly written reports to the Board of Directors would be required, but you would not have to be there in person, unless you chose to be.
The budget runs on the calendar year, so extra time will be spent each fourth quarter, as the Finance Committee prepares the new budget and closes the old.

Our Work
The FOCUS feeding programs - FOCUS Interfaith Food Pantry, Breakfast Express, and FOCUS Winter Breakfast - are our primary efforts in an endeavor to help those in need by providing our community with good, nutritious food and hospitality. Along with food, FOCUS is intentional in balancing labors of charity with acts of justice by participating in the work of seeking long term solutions to end hunger and poverty.
