Volunteers will be working to better Irvine Nature Center which is an environmental education institution. Volunteers will be working in the three areas of our new Native American Site, Outdoor Classroom and area surrounding the Maryland Veterans Cemetery. Each area will be cleared of debris and trash as well as have educational pieces placed there so that students and patrons alike can learn more about their local environment as well as environmental stewardship.
Light refreshments will be served throuhgout the day.

Description
Irvine Nature Center is a private, non-profit nature center located in Owings Mills, Maryland. We have 211 acres of woodlands, wetlands, and meadows that support a diverse population of wildlife. We provide more than 800 environmental education programs annually to roughly 95,000 individuals of all ages. Our goal is to expose people to the importance of environmental literacy and show those visiting our property the importance of environmental stewardship. We aim to teach a concern for the planet that translates into actions that help preserve our ecosystem and create a healthier planet!
