This opportunity allows volunteers to bless our homeless shelter parents and children with fellowship, and a listening ear. The shift is 5:30pm to 9pm and includes sharing the guests' dinner (delivered or you can bring with you). This is family style dinner, group clean up, and then optional games, cards or just visiting. Your job is hospitality, to make our guests feel comfortable, at ease, and at home.
Our shelter program includes the families' pets (in our separate pet facility), so there may be opportunity for pet-fellowship as well!

Description
Family Promise Mat-Su shelters families in area church buildings and provides case-management, meals, laundry, transportation and resources to return families to self-sufficiency. This is the only emergency shelter in this borough in which families can stay together, including their homeless pets!
