Cooks can prepare meals for guest families at the hosting church, Family Promise homeless shelter facility or at home and deliver to the church host site. There are 10 Church hosts both in Palmer and Wasilla to choose from. 6:00 is the consistent time for families to sit together and eat. Our average census is 9....up to 15. Cooks are notified at least 24 hours in advance of guest numbers and any food allergies.
(Families may have shelter pets in our boarding facility who may also need donations of food.)

"A Community Response for Families Without Housing" A Community Response for homeless families (and pets) using area congregations for lodging, meals and hospitality to help move families back into self-sufficiency and housing.
Description
Family Promise Mat-Su shelters families in area church buildings and provides case-management, meals, laundry, transportation and resources to return families to self-sufficiency. This is the only emergency shelter in this borough in which families can stay together, including their homeless pets!
