Central Intake Services Volunteers will be able to provide the following:

  • Welcome and provide general CAC information to families as needed
  • Accompany families to and from appointments
  • Accompany families to Children's Activity Center
  • Communicate with CAC staff and other volunteers, as necessary

Central Intake Services Volunteers may choose from one or more of the three-hour shifts between 8AM - 5PM (Monday - Friday).

  • 8AM - 11AM
  • 11AM - 2PM
  • 2PM - 5PM

*Application, orientation, volunteer training, interview(s), and criminal and Child Protective Services (CPS) background checks are required to volunteer with The Children's Assessment Center (CAC).*

The mission of The Children's Assessment Center (CAC) is to provide a professional, compassionate and coordinated approach to the treatment of sexually abused children and their families and to serve as an advocate for all children in our community.

Description

THE CHILDREN'S ASSESSMENT CENTER'S mission is to provide a professional, compassionate and coordinated approach to the treatment of sexually abused children and to serve as an advocate for all children in our community. The CAC is an accredited member of the National Children's Alliance and part of a national movement to create a child-friendly team approach for sexually abused children. The CAC is one of the largest advocacy centers in the nation. Since 2000, The CAC has provided services for over 35,000 sexually abused children in our community.

The Children's Assessment Center (The CAC) houses professionals from over 53 partnering agencies, which include law enforcement, a medical clinic, psychological and psychiatric services, and governmental investigative entities, all with the common goal of protecting children.
