The BLC is looking for a volunteer photographer to help take photos of regular programs and special events. This is a great opportunity to gain experience while donating your time and talent to a worthy cause!
Skills & Requirements:
- Knowledge of camera, lighting, flashes, etc.
- Ability to produce professional looking photos with high resolution.
- Experience with picture editing programs.
- Ability to work independently
**BLC can provide equipment if necessary, but use of personal equipment is preferred.

The Backside Learning Center is a nonprofit organization building community and enriching the lives of backside workers and families at Churchill Downs.
Description
The Backside Learning Center provides free educational services to the men and women who work with the thoroughberd horses in the barn area, or backside, of Churchill Downs and Trackside in Louisville, KY. Our programming includes English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL), technology workshops, citizenship tutoring, art class, and music class. All of our classes & tutoring depend on volunteers. Family Education Program focusing on afterschool homework assistance for equine workers' children,
Note: BLC hours are between 9:00 am-8:00 pm Monday thru Friday. Days, times and frequency of direct service will fall between these hours but will depend upon the work schedule and availability of students and volunteers.
