WellChild are looking for volunteers on Sunday 10th September to support our Great North Run team. Over 138 participants will be running for WellChild and are aiming to raise in excess of £45k. To be part of this exciting event, sign up to join the cheering team!
What will you be doing?
You will join our cheering team along the race route, to cheer and support our runners and encouraging them to keep going. We encourage you to bring friends and family, the more the merrier!
What will be supplied:
You will only need to give a few hours of your time to support us, in return you will receive a Wellchild t-shirt to make you stand out from the crowd and cheering equipment. You will also have the support of a Wellchild Team Leader on the day. A full briefing pack will be sent to you before the event so that you can feel well prepared.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wanting to volunteer for a mass participation event and anyone looking to get into the charity sector. You will also get to meet new people and help our amazing runners run harder and faster - they really can't do it without your help!

Description
There are thousands of children and young people in the UK living with a serious illness or complex care need. WellChild is the national charity working to ensure the best possible care and support for all these children and their families wherever they are and whenever they need it.
Although we’re best known for our UK-wide team of WellChild Children’s Nurses who provide practical and emotional support particularly in the home, we also lead many other initiatives to enable families with seriously ill children to get the support they need for every step of their journey.
