Support Group Leader for Grass Valley, CA
The Western Neuropathy Association
The Grass Valley Neuropathy Support Group is an actively meeting group. New leadership is needed as the former leader's health does not let her continue. There are supportive people in the group but someone who enjoys people and is willing to learn about neuropathy from resources we provide and the knowledge of the group is needed. The person would invite speakers to come from time to time and show a video or use other ideas and guidance availavle for meetings. This group brings ideas and information and likes to find out how people are doing, etc. If you are interested, please call Bev Anderson at 877-622-6298 or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
About The Western Neuropathy Association
P.O. Box 276567, Sacramento, CA 95827, US
Hope through caring and education - Our mission is to provide support, information and referral to people with neuropathy and to those who care about them, to inform and connect with the health care community and to support research. We need people to serve as group leaders in many communities in the Western States west of the Rocky Mountains.
We are a California Non Profit Public Benefit Corporation which IRS deems to be tax exempt. We major in starting and developing support groups for people with peripheral neuropathy and those who care about them. In the process we endeavor to make connections with the health care community to better serve our members and to inform the health care community about "this mst common disease you've never heard of." With approximately 2 million people in California suffering from neuropathy, it is amazing how many people have never heard about it. Many know someone with the symptoms but may not know there is a name for this. We are led by a Board of Directors now numbering 6. These people have a variety of skills and contually upgrade the organization.
