In November, the Humane Society for Southwest Washington is opening a new, large cat colony inside our ReTails thrift store to accommodate up to 20 adoptable felines. We're looking for volunteers to assume duties similar to those at the shelter: morning cleaning, feeding, socializing; afternoon shifts for adoption ambassadors.
We're looking for committed, reliable, responsible volunteers who can do a set weekly shift for at least 6 months. All volunteers must attend volunteer orientation and training to work safely with shelter cats and follow cleaning procedures essential to keeping cats healthy.
Repeated bending, lifting, standing, walking, moving, attention to detail, interpersonal communication.
AM cleaning, feeding & enrichment shifts are 9am-noon; afternoon adoption, cleaning, feeding & enrichment shifts are noon-3pm and 3-6pm. Let us know if you'd like to help!
