ProjectArt Los Angeles is looking for 4-8 volunteers to assemble 1 art supply storage cabinet in each of our 4 Publica Library locations: Cypress Park, 1150 Cypress Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90065; Junipero Serra, 4607 S Main St, Los Angeles, CA 90037; Hyde Park, 2205 W Florence Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90043; and Washington Irving, 4117 W Washington Blvd, Los Angeles, CA.

Mission Statement
ProjectArt transforms public libraries into vital cultural hubs that offer youth visual art classes during after school hours, and grants teaching artists year-long studio spaces.
Description
The non-profit provides free classes to youth who have little to no access to art classes - all in the public library. Local artists are hired to develop the art projects and teach. The artists are also given the opportunity to utilize the public library as a platform to create new work through an artist-in-residence program. ProjectArt was founded in New York six years ago and now exists in Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, Miami and Pittsburgh.
