Clear the Shelters is a nationwide pet adoption drive on Saturday, August 19, 2017 that helps find loving homes for animals in need. We're looking for volunteers to assist with various tasks before and during the event. Some shifts involve direct interaction with animals, many do not.
All volunteers must attend a Volunteer Meeting on Wednesday, August 16 at 1:00 PM or 6:00 PM.
All shifts are on Saturday, August 19, except Dog Bathing on Friday, Aug. 18.
Minimum age to volunteer is 14. Volunteers who are 14 or 15 years of age must be accompanied by a parent. Orientation/ quiz and background check are required. Volunteer shifts that require direct interaction with animals also require completion of an Animal Handling Class after Shelter Essentials Training.
