The Tuesday afternoon muscle and potato prepper will help carry groceries up the stairs (very glamorous but only takes five minutes as a team effort), will cube potatoes for our famous home fries, help roll silverware, and assist with other kitchen tasks to help us get ready for our Wednesday rush. This job is easy-going and social! Volunteers should be vaccinated and boosted. It is a big space with masks welcomed and social distancing.

The Agape Cafe is committed to serving our homeless and in-need neighbors breakfast with dignity and respect. Our primary goals are to enhance self-esteem and promote wellness among our guests, our volunteers and ourselves.
Description
The Agape cafe serves breakfast to approximately 65 guests each Wednesday morning between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM and is open from 6AM to 9AM. Our guests select their meal from a menu that changes weekly but always includes eggs any style, bacon or sausage, homefries, toast, oatmeal or grits, juice and milk, coffee, pancakes or french toast, plus other specials like biscuits and gravy. Volunteer servers will wait on guests and then have a chance to sit and visit with them. We serve up a hearty dose of good food in an environment that encourages interaction between the volunteer staff and the guests.
