CicLAvia seeks enthusiastic and energetic volunteers for a Car-Free Street Event

CicLAvia seeks volunteers to assist at our CicLAvia - San Pedro meets Wilmington open streets event on Sunday, August 13, 2017.

Get ready for a brand new CicLAvia route! On Sunday, August 13, San Pedro and Wilmington will host the country’s largest open streets event! Streets will be closed to cars and open for cyclists, pedestrians, runners and skaters to use as a recreational space.

We are partnering with the City of Los Angeles and Metro to create 7 miles of car-free streets for people to walk, bike, ride and play. CicLAvia is a family-friendly event that gives people the chance to explore their community and connect with each other in a whole new way.

Volunteers help tremendously to ensure participants enjoying a safe and fun car-free street day in LA.

CicLAvia is looking for volunteers for the following positions:

• Volunteers can be assigned to a crossing point along the route to act as a Crossing Angels to ensure participants are following traffic direction and yielding to cross traffic.
• Volunteers can be assigned near the Information Booth at a hub along the route to provide directions and information about the event as a Hub Angel.

Groups of 4 or more are welcomed to join as any of the above or through our Adopt-an-Intersection program.

Shifts:
- ALL DAY: 8:30AM - 4:30PM
- AFTERNOON: 11:00AM - 2:00PM
- LATE AFTERNOON: 1:30PM - 4:30PM

Perks (Individual)
- All volunteers receive a CicLAvia Volunteer Shirt
- Snacks and Water Provided!
- Training/ Orientation is highly recommended for our volunteers to attend at our offices on the following dates:
Saturday August 5 at 12noon

**Orientation/ Training will be held in our offices at the La Kretz Innovation Campus at 525 S. Hewitt St Los Angeles, 90013**

- Training/ Orientation is highly recommended for our volunteers to attend at our offices on the following dates:
- Saturday, August 5 at 12noon
- 14 years or older to volunteer
