The Center for Enriched Living exists so that people with developmental disabilities can be fully included in the community, achieve personal success, and enjoy a good quality of life.
We are currently looking for volunteers for our Saturday Social Program. The program runs from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm each Saturday year-round. Volunteers are able to come for the entire day or shifts from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Enjoy fun and engaging activities with our members from bowling, art & crafts, fitness, and friendship club.

Description
CEL is a non-profit organization that provides valuable programs and services for teens, adults and seniors with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). CEL provides social programs 7-days a week that foster friendships, paid employment that matches their skills and interests, REACH and Catalyst Adult Day Programs, and mental health resources. Annually, our programs support over 400 individuals from 55 different Chicagoland communities.
At CEL, we firmly believe in fostering an environment where every individual not only has access to but is actively encouraged to participate in continual learning, skill-building, and socialization. Most importantly, programs are designed with the help of our members - they tell us what they want to learn and engage in, and we create it! Activities may include: music, arts, fitness, cooking, nutrition, gardening, technology, community outings and much more.
