Volunteers needed to help with an online video transcription project. The Minnesota Literacy Council created a series of videos of teachers leading activities in adult ESL classes to help teachers and volunteers develop their teaching skills. In order to make this resource more accessible, MN Literacy would like to have closed captioning and a transcript of the videos available to viewers.
The hours are highly flexible. Volunteers can work from their own home on their own time. An initial in-person training will be required to build familiarity with the Youtube transcription program, but the actual transcription work can take place anywhere at any time.
No previous transcription experience is required; training on the use of the technology will be provided.
