Volunteer User Experience Designer Wanted

Ministries of Aides International, Inc. (MAII) is a non-profit organization dedicated to global humanitarian relief efforts that is looking for a volunteer UX Designer. The designer will be expected to creatively review our current template design for our website’s overall look and feel, while staying consistent with the digital expression of the organization's current logo / branding. This person will report to our newly created in-house web design committee. Experience working with Django CMS, Python Developers (For E-Commerce) and Bootstrap CSS Classes is a plus.

User Experience Designer Will Ideally:

• Be a versatile, team player with a positive attitude.
• Have some non-profit sector experience.
• Create solutions that reinforce the organization’s humanitarian objectives at every point.
• Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback.
• Work within SEO recommendations to present valuable UX insights (that reflect the brand’s humanitarian agenda, strategic vision, promote it and engage the consumer), user centered design and will deliver responsivedesign recommendations based on data-driven metrics for the website committee.
• Need to understand the fundamentals, current challenges and future trends of the digital design landscape.
• Have experience and understanding of photography select process, artistic cropping, minor retouching, and sharing assets through a content library system.
• Work from agreed upon creative briefs with web / marketing / fundraising / sponsorships project committees to develop and execute concepts for child sponsorship database, fundraising and marketing initiatives.
• Take a role in helping to evolve the digital style guidelines.
• Work with marketing and web development and marketing committees to deliver creative that maintains best possible user experience on strategy and on time.
• Help website committee workflow process run smoothly and finds innovative ways to enhance it.
• Present and and support design decisions with explanations or reasons for your design in an effort to produce final deliverables to CEO, Committee Chairs and peers.
• Follow HTML standards requirements. (Uses validation tools to deliver live / launch ready assets).
