Super Stars Literacy knows that when a child learns how to read, they have the power to transform their future. Our organization hosts an annual Gala Fundraiser, responsible for covering 10% of our program's revenue.
This year, our 16th Anniversary gala will be held March 10, 2018 at Rock Wall Wine Company, Alameda, CA, from 6-10pm.
The Corporate Sponsorship Team is dedicated to confirming financial resources for the organization and event.
This team solicits, identifies, applies or works with Development Staff to apply for a range of grants and entry level sponsorships $2,500-$10,000.
Our goal is to add two-three new $5,000 to $10,000 sponsors.

Mission Statement
When a child learns to read, they are empowered to transform their future.
Description
Because 3rd grade reading ability is such a strong predictor of high school graduation rates, Super Stars Literacy partners with schools in low-income communities to provide at-risk K-2nd grade students with comprehensive literacy intervention programming, helping them build the literacy and social skills that are the foundation for future learning. The SSL program consists of 1) daily after-school literacy and social-emotional skill developmet, 2) in-school reading support coordinated with the students' school-day teachers, and 3) family engagement activities designed to help parents support their child's reading development and connect families to the school.
We schedule one-time, team-building group volunteering activities as well! Please reach out to volunteer@superstarsliteracy.org for more information!
