Assist Aspiring Artists with Disabilities by Volunteering in Our Art Studio

ORGANIZATION: The Arc of the Capital Area

  • 4 people are interested

The Arc of the Capital Area is in need of volunteers to assist clients with developmental disabilities in our art studio. This is a great opportunity for seniors and those who have free time during the work week and are looking for a fun and worthwhile cause with which to participate.

Volunteers in the art studio assist clients by encouraging and inspiring them with ideas for their art projects. Volunteers also help to keep clients on track and engaged, gather supplies, socialize, and in some cases even physically guide the hand of some of our less ambulatory or vision impaired clients.

The art studio is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 2pm.

Contact Chance Garner, Volunteer Coordinator, cgarner@arcaustin.org, with any questions or to apply.
