ORGANIZATION: Parkinson's Foundation

This fall, the Parkinson's Foundation will host its 7th annual Moving Day Chicago, A Walk for Parkinson’s event. Scheduled for Sunday, October 14th, 2018 at the Lincoln Park South Fields, Moving Day Chicago has with a goal of raising $475,000 and attracting an audience of 2000+ people. This celebration of movement will feature a family-friendly walk course with views of the Lincoln Park zoo, the lagoon and Chicago’s magnificent skyline, a children’s area, refreshment tent and Movement Pavilion featuring exercise classes all proven to help manage Parkinson’s symptoms.

The Parkinson's Foundation is currently recruiting volunteers to help with set-up, registration, refreshments, kid’s area, course, team village, clean-up etc. Volunteers will work 3, 4 or 6 hour shifts between the hours of 7:30am and 1:30pm and times will vary depending on availability and area assigned. Parking passes and a light breakfast will be provided along with a t-shirt for each volunteer.
