Hospice Companions are a vital part of Sta-Home Hospice. Companions make a difference and improve a patient’s quality of life by providing love and support to all.
WHAT DOES A HOSPICE COMPANION VOLUNTEER DO?
A few examples are:
- Visiting and providing support to the patient/caregiver
- Shopping, buying groceries, running errands for the family
- Sitting with a patient to give the caregiver a break
- Helping with administrative tasks in the hospice office

Description
Sta-Home's hospice care specializes in providing their patients with a level of care that focuses on easing the physical, emotional psychosocial and spiritual pain causing the patient to be in distress. This specialized care is provided by using a palliative care approach to our patients, and a comprehensive approach to pain and symptom management through an interdisciplinary team.
