ORGANIZATION: Interfaith Community Services

Join our team!
Join our team and create a stronger community for all who live in San Diego County!

Invigorate your love for the law by providing vital assistance to people in our community facing legal challenges who would have no guidance otherwise. You will impact the lives of low-income populations by sharing your legal knowledge in a variety of legal areas. You will not represent clients, but provide information, education, and referrals about the legal situations they are currently facing. Many situations involve landlord/tenancy law, family law, etc. We partner with Legal Aid Society San Diego (LASSD) to support lawyers and provide primary malpractice insurance. For retired attorneys, LASSD also provides a pro bono practice license from the California State Bar. Interfaith is looking for practicing, semi-retired, or retired attorneys.

Legal Aid Clinics are held monthly during the last Wednesday of the Month from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. During the Covid-19 pandemic, lawyers teleconference with clients from our headquarters in Escondido. We are hoping to have enough support from volunteer lawyers to offer the clinic weekly.
