Help Out In Our Book and Media Department!

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Home of the Sparrow, Inc

Do you enjoy working with books, DVDs or CDs, and helping out your community along the way? This opportunity might be for you!

Community Threads is looking for help to process, sort, and restock our book and media department. Join fellow volunteers as we work with these donations. A typically shift would include assessing the department to determine what we need to put on the floor, processing the items in our back room, and restocking the sales floor as needed.

Volunteers typically serve a weekly 3-hour shift, but bi-weekly shifts are also available. We would be glad to have you help us on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, anytime between 10am and 9pm. We have plenty of parking, a break room, and a volunteer connection counter with treats!

The profits raised by our store benefit local charities and provide scholarships for children's education, grants given to a homeless shelter and food pantry in Chicago, and funds for leadership training programs.
