Volunteers will help with set and tear down. Set up and tear down includes loading and unloading a box truck, helping set the event, setting up tents, moving tables and chairs, hanging and removing signs, etc. Volunteers are also needed to manage a booth, which includes; face painting, arts and craft activities, managing the bouncy house, running the information booth, etc. We will provide training and all materials needed to run the booths, we just need someone who is responsible, friendly and likes working with children.
Availabe shifts are: 4pm-6pm; 6pm-9pm; 9pm-10pm

Carbondale Main Street is proud to help improve and promote the downtown district of Carbondale, Illinois. As a part of the National Main Street program, we specialize in economic development, organization,
design as well as promotion in the downtown area.
We are a resource for the businesses in our district; we offer design assistance grants and promotional tools for all of our retail and service locations, restaurants, and other establishments. We also plan and help to coordinate all of the special events in downtown, including the Friday Night Fairs and The Lights Fantastic Parade! If you are a Downtown business owner, a Carbondale resident, or a visitor to the Capital of Southern Illinois, please feel free to take advantage of what our district offers. We’ll see you Downtown!
