ORGANIZATION: MIDWAY VILLAGE MUSEUM

WWII Days at Midway Village Museum

World War II Days
Saturday, September 23 . 10 am to 5 pm
Sunday, September 24 . 10 am to 4 pm

The largest World War II re-enactment in the Midwest brings together 1,300 reenactors and more than 60 authentic vehicles for this one-of-a-kind special event. Tour encampments, watch skirmishes and large-scale narrated battles, listen to lectures and musical performances, and enjoy several new activities in 2017.

As you can imagine an event this size takes hundreds of volunteers. We do require all our volunteers to go through a helpful training to equip you for your role at the event. Here are some of things that you can volunteer to do:

  • Admissions - Volunteers will run an Ipad, take cash or hand out admission stickers at our gates.
  • Battlefield Store and Hospital Store - Volunteers will run an Ipad, take cash, and act as a helper in our store locations.
  • Marketing Booth - Volunteer at the museum's information booth and share information about the programs and events available at Midway. Training with our Marketing Director will be provided.

We have two shifts on both days and several locations and opportunties for you to volunteer and experience the Midwest's LARGEST WWII Reenactment Event!

Benefits of being a WWII Volunteer:

  • Free pizza lunch!
  • Volunteer for one shift and your entrance to the event that day is FREE!
  • Complete some community service hours.
  • Meet people from all over!
