Artsmith is a nonprofit organization providing arts programming to underserved youth in Bronx, NY.
We're in search of a digital marketing volunteer to help build and manage digital campaigns and social media accounts. Artsmith is dedicated to giving children in the Bronx access to art programs, such as art workshops and music workshops with local artists. The position offers diversity in marketing experience.
Responsibility:
- Basic knowledge and use of social media
- Content creation weekly for Artsmith on all social channels
- Create visual content to promote events/ projects
- Content writing for upcoming events & promotions
- Carries a positive attitude with all team members
- Marketing data reporting
- Attend department meetings (virtual)

To provide quality arts programming to young people from the Bronx that will enable them to learn about themselves, others, and the world around them; explore topics and issues that affect them as they age and mature; and inspire them to dream beyond the image that is often presented to them about who they will and can become.
Description
New York City, one of the most racially diverse cities in the nation, has one of the most segregated public school systems when it comes to race and poverty. Children living in the city’s low-income neighborhoods, a significant amount in parts of the Bronx, have unequal access to the arts.
Artsmith is non-profit organization that provides quality arts-centered programming to underserved Bronx youth from the ages of 8-18. Many studies supported by education scholars and policy-makers, show that the Arts is necessary for providing a well-rounded education. We use the Arts to counter the widening gap between the socioeconomically elite and the disadvantaged. At Artsmith we believe that every child, in spite of socio-economic status, should have access to the Arts. The arts allow us all to stretch the limits of what we view as possible, and for those whose paths are filled with societally imposed obstacles, this is particularly meaningful. The Arts can give a voice to the silenced. We want to help tomorrow’s leaders to find their voices and participate in the conversations that will shape their communities and the world.CAUSE AREAS
