Tutors choose one of the following areas of instruction: English Language Aquisition (ELA), GED in English or Spanish, basic computer skills, math literacy, basic Spanish literacy, or English literacy for speakers of other languages. All volunteers must attend a new tutor orientation prior to being placed.
Volunteers in this program have the opportunity to assist in classrooms, work with students in small groups and/or work with individual students.
Successful tutors are encouraging, flexible, organized, empathetic, respectful, responsible, committed and learner-centered.
Tutors are in highest demand around noon (11:30-1:00pm) and in the evening (5:00-8:50PM). However, other time slots are also available and we can work with your schedule! Summer term begins June 24th.
Please contact Cara White at whitec@linnbenton.edu for any questions or to sign up for a new tutor orientation. You can find information about the next orientation at the following link: https://forms.gle/VbiWQMYSnRyCF3M16
