GO GIRLS!
GO GIRLS! is led by mentors and runs in schools for seven two hour long sessions. Each session provides an opportunity for the girls to participate in fun, educational games and activities that encourage mentor/mentee relationship building as well as self-reflection and group discussions about what is important to them.

By helping the girls to become for informed about making healthy choices and by conveying the messages that being active can still be fun, the girls become equipped to incorporate these values into their lives.
Making It Happen
GO GIRLS! mentees are chosen by teachers. Go Girls! is designed for girls in Grade 5-7 who will benefit the most from a small group environment and the opportunity to discuss the topics Go Girls! addresses.
GO GIRLS! mentors young woman who are passionate about healthy, active lining and are specially selected and trained to deliver the program.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George implements Go Girls! programming and recruit the mentors to deliver the program in the school.

Welcome to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George is one of 113 member agencies serving more than 1000 communitie ... s across the country as part of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada.
The goal of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George is to expand mentoring programs, working proactively with more children and youth in the community. BBBSPG currently offers mentoring to children and youth in programs such as the Traditional Big Brother / Big Sister program; the Couples for Kids program; the Go Girls! and Game On! Group Mentoring Programsand the In-School Mentoring program. Over 275 children and youth in Prince George have benefited from mentoring programs in 2015.
In addition to these programs our agency also operates Before and After School Care Programs and Summer Day Camps.
We are #TeamBBBSPG and we believe in the value and values of mentoring.
