Care for the Homeless is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates medical clinics in partnership with homeless shelters, soup kitchens, and drop-in locations throughout the city. We also operate a 200-bed, transitional residence for homeless women in the Bronx called Susan's Place.
Volunteers are needed to assist with the packing of Naloxene Kits (which are essentially opiod overdose kits) to be distributed by our trained staff at Care for the Homeless Clinic Sites and workshops. This is a new initiative that could help save lives!
Any and all help would be appreciated aka invite a friend! This project should take no more than 2 hours for a group of 3-4 volunteers - date is flexible. Please choose from the following dates and contact our Development Associate, Jaden Riendeau, at jriendeau@cfhnyc.org with your preference.

About Care For the Homeless
Location:
30 East 33rd street, 5th Fl, New York, NY 10016, US
Mission Statement
Care For the Homeless fights homelessness by delivering high-quality and client-centered health care, human services and shelter to homeless individuals and families, and by advocating for policies to ameliorate, prevent and end homelessness.
Description
Care For the Homeless (CFH) serves 10,000 homeless men, women, and children annually and provides comprehensive health care at multiple sites co-located at soup kitchens, shelters, drop-in centers and street outreach programs in all 5 boroughs of NYC. Our service delivery model provides care where homeless individuals and families are receiving a variety of other services with the goal of reducing barriers to accessing high-quality health care. CFH also operates three transitional housing sites with on-site health care and is expanding shelter services in the future, ensuring a safe, supportive path to permanent housing.
In addition, CFH is committed to ending homelessness by conducting public education, research, and analysis of model programs and practices that create permanent housing opportunities, and by shaping policies to prevent future homelessness.
