Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna is starting a new build in Elkton, MD in August! The home will be located on 124 Maffitt Street.
Habitat Susquehanna creates affordable housing opportunities throughout Harford and Cecil counties by building, renovating, and repairing homes in partnership with the community. We need lots of volunteers to help us build and renovate these homes! This build in Elkton is new construction, and volunteers will help with all phases of construction including framing, roofing, siding, hanging drywall, insulation, installing cabinetry, flooring, and appliances, painting, and more. No prior construction experience or knowledge is required! There is a Habitat construction supervisor on the site that oversees the build and all volunteers; he/she will teach you everything you need to know!
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old (18 to be on the roof or use power tools) and have health insurance. Online registration is required. Please contact Brianne at byoung@habitatsusq.org to volunteer and begin your registration!
