Volunteer Tutors are needed for the Center for Career Pathways program. Located On the Allentown campus of Lehigh Carbon Community College this adult literacy and education program provides free classes and services for people seeking their GED. We also offer English as a Second Language courses for non native English speakers to read, write, speak, and listen proficiently in English.
Tutors are needed to work one on one and in small groups with students in the subjects of Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and ESL related topics. This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity where tutors work with students a minimum of 3 hours per week until student goal completion is accomplished. Day and evening tutors are needed and schedule is flexible. Tutors need to have their Bachelor's degree in any field and clearances are required.
A volunteer orientation is taking place on Tuesday Aug. 15th at 1pm on the Allentown campus of LCCC located at 718 Hamilton St. in Allentown. For additional information or to RSVP please contact Allison at 610-799-1216 or email at volunteertutor@lccc.edu.

Description
Career Pathaways is a free program that offers a sequence in educational curriculum designed to help students along the path to a career in a high priority occupation. The curriculum is based on the needs of industries in the Lehigh Valley and is work focused. We offer both day and evenign clases to students looking to obtain their GED plus there are classes for English language learners as well.
