Conservation Project

CVN offers magnificent opportunities for volunteers to help in wild life and environmental conservation projects animal care. Conservation project volunteers work in a diversity of project various game and wildlife centers such as Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary, Mole Nation at park and kyabobo national park at Nkwanta in the north of Volta Region.

Work within the wilderness and assist in tracking, observing and monitoring animals species, updating the reserves data base and assisting in the preservation and protection of Ghana’s wildlife.
Our wildlife conservation project has been established with aim to closely study wild animals in a wildlife park environment. Volunteers will assist and produce meaningful and useful data which can be incorporated into after academic research projects.

The volunteer coordinator plans the days to ensure that data is recorded on each of the animal species and the various habitats.
The project focuses on the followings:

  1. Monkey activity (species territory utilization feeding and social behaviour)
  2. Elephants behaviour (herd make-up, movement to parents/offering behaviour individual characteristics, feeding traits)

In addition to the volunteers’ collect data on general game, birds, vegetation mapping and free population and growth.

We can also include a specific focus to our projected by these research projects may be mapping specific tree species or more specific information on feeding habits of one animal species. The most important requirements for this volunteer programs and (a) Hard working skills (b) Being ecologically perception willing to learn about new cultures and most important are eagerness. Volunteers tasks can vary on a daily basis and volunteers need to be flexible and open minded.

The Care Volunteers Network welcomes all interested researchers, and students to participate. You can volunteer for period of 2 weeks to 6 months.
Extension can be arranged with advance notice as well. Location: Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary, Kyabobo National Park Nkwanta South.

Care Volunteers Network is a non profit organisation found in 2016 with the vision and mission and ideology to foster a whole range of care, humanity, adventure tourism, healthcare, and economic empowerment and cross-culture understanding ,

by providing people with quality opportunity for international volunteering, education and training. Many women and children have become vulnerable to diseases and other social plights due to poverty. But to create parity between the poor and the rich , there must be equal opportunities for all.
