Kitten Adoption Event Coordinators Needed

Events where we need Coordinators: Anaheim, Santa Ana, & Irvine

We are looking for individuals to be trained as Event Coordinators who will run one of our weekly Adoption Events that are held each weekend at pet stores around Orange County. This is a long-term position so please be able to commit to at least 6 months in order to apply.

A lot of information and responsibility is given to a Coordinator and you would attend other Events as a volunteer in the beginning, to learn what all the helpers are expected to do. You will be taught how to vet a potential adopter, how to complete administrative paperwork, be exposed to the many questions that are asked by visitors, and learn how other MeoowzResQ Coordinators run their events. Once you feel comfortable with how things are done, you will be assigned a location where you will be the one running the Event.

Duties include:

• directing weekly adoption event
• work with Volunteer Coordinator to line up event helpers
• completing administrative paperwork
• vetting potential adopters
• using the Square app to complete credit card charges
• assisting potential adopters
• communicating with public regarding kittens and their care
• staging cages for the event
• transferring kittens to/from carriers
• monitoring and playing with kittens
• ensure event space is cleaned after event is over
• communicating with office personnel
• If condos are present onsite:
  • monitoring condo supplies
  • ensuring all kittens in condos have cage cards posted
  • assist with mid-week adoptions if available
  • ensure all condo kitties have food and water whenever you are in the store
