Our hospice volunteer program is exploring music in service of memory for persons on our service to enhance living while in their dying time. Our organization is preparing to utilize a program entitled, Music and Memory, which brings music to individuals living with Alzheimer's and Dementia related challenges. Music is deeply associated with emotions and neurosciences are confirming access to the memories through music is vital for this population.
We will offer support and resources to help establish this service within our communities and welcome your volunteer heart and your love of music. Please contact us. We are showing the movie, Alive Inside, this August 8 at our location in Alameda, as a kick off to this program. You are invited!

Hospice is a special way of caring for patients whose life expectancy is limited. Our highly personal hospice care focuses on the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of the patient and their family support network. In addition to providing practical assistance to seriously ill patients, we help patients participate in decision making related to end-of-life care while promoting comfort and self-determination.
Our services include: Nursing Care, Medical Social Workers, Volunteers, Bereavement Programs, Spiritual Support, Hospice Care, and Community Education.
