The Royal University of Phnom Penh has recently developed the Master program on Climate Change (MCC) with approval of Ministry of Education Youth and Sport in late Dec 2016, and we are in the stage of advertisement and seeking for scholarship support from development partners, government ministries and private sectors. The program has been developed largely based on the Cambodia Climate Change Strategic Plan 2014-2023, and Sectoral Climate Change Strategic Plan of relevant government ministries in order to address the climate change impacts. Through recent capacity assessment, there have been lack of competent capacity in the field of climate change within the government ministries as well as NGOs. Therefore, the MCC program will definitely help fill the gaps of capacity need.

Given the MCC program experiences, our future prospect will provide the professional services in term of climate change related research, training, planning and policy recommendations to government of Cambodia and related bodies for appropriate actions to climate change and disasters.

Please kindly find more information at http://www.rupp.edu.kh/master/climate_change/.

While, the program is being implemented and the cohort of students will commence in Nov 2017, our program needs the volunteers to help teach the Courses on English for Climate Change, and Basic Science of Climate Change, and specialist to develop the MCC program on research and short taining related to climate change.
