The Austin Public Library needs you to share your love of board games with the next generation of gamers! The New Central Library is looking for volunteers to teach and play board games with youth during the Tabletop Tuesday program. Volunteers must have a familiarity with traditional board games (e.g. Scrabble), modern board games (e.g. Settlers of Catan), and card drafting games.
Program Dates: Every Tuesday evening, once the New Central Library opens. Volunteers will train at the Faulk Central Library (800 Guadalupe) .
Shift: 4pm-8pm
Volunteer duties include: learning game rules and prepping the new games for play, finding online tutorials, creating social media posts using content taken during the program, setting up the program, tearing down the program.
