ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
SCORE is a non-profit national organization with over 50 years serving our communities. We offer free advice and mentoring to small business entrepreneurs. We are a nonprofit resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). We have over 300 SCORE offices across the country.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Miami Chapter is in the midst of an organizational transformation with the sole intention of empowering the volunteer workforce, repositioning our Chapter within the community, and strengthening our partnerships and relationships for better collaboration - to better sevce the small business community in Miami Dade.
We are building a Finance Committee composed of experienced volunteers who will be assisting small businesses/entreprenerus in finding financial solutions for their businesses. These could be guidance on how to get approved for loans and grants, identifying funding alternatives, and finding creative ways to obtain investors to financially support their business.
These experts will brainstorm on financial solutions, network and collaborate with olocal rganizations/foundations, and find new financial alternatives to support our clients.
Volunteers are expected to attend monthly Chapter meetings (2hrs) and collaborate with the Finance Committee, as needed. Estimated time investment to be 3-4 hours a week.
IMPORTANT: We are seeking volunteers that can be present in the Miami Dade area, and preferably retired professional to allow for availability during the day.

For over 50 years, SCORE’s thousands of working and retired business professionals have volunteered to support the success of small business nationwide. SCORE business mentoring is free and confidential.
We provide:
- Free, confidential business mentoring in person, via email or by video
- Volunteer mentors who share their expertise across industries
- Free business tools, templates and tips online
- Inexpensive or free business workshops (locally) and webinars (online 24/7)
