We are hosting our first ever Mint summer open house. We will greet local residents, and welcome donors to Mint and anyone who is interested and stops by.
Your job as a volunteer:
Greet guests, serve refreshments.
Help with children's arts and crafts activity.
Keep an eye on our art so it remains in beautiful shape.
Help with set up or clean up.
Encourage new volunteers - and sign people up on our email list.
Other tasks to be determined.
We need some adult volunteers for our open house - responsible friendly and must like teens!

Mint Artists Guild helps to transform aspiring Detroit youth artists through education, exceptional engagement and experience, resulting in earning opportunities, skill-building, exposure, and mentoring. Mint launches creative careers and lasting connections. Mint also infuses the community with art and creative experiences, enhancing a collaborative, healthy and generous culture.
Description
Mint works with artists ages 13 to 23 on entrepreneurial, career and life skills, and gives them opportunities to sell their creative work. A summer jobs program, business workshops and online educational and informational resources are offered to young visual artists. In 2020, we launched the Metro Detroit Youth Arts Competition, a creative activity kit giveaway (of 5,500 kits) and in 2021, we launched leadership development training. This year, we are working on an alumni engagement program, adding creative jobs to our website and so much more. We need your help and support to continue our growth!
