Objective: Volunteers will provide support to clients seeking assistance with applying for benefits,

job searches, academic assignments and other technology based services they would otherwise

not have access to. Volunteers are to ensure the safety of both the clients and the computer lab

equipment.

Responsibilities: Volunteer will be responsible for monitoring appropriate use of computer lab

equipment, regulating sign-in sheet, distributing and collecting client surveys, providing technical

support when necessary, assisting with resume writing and enforcing computer lab rules and

expected conduct. Additionally, volunteers may be responsible for other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Volunteer must have a strong background in technology and must be comfortable

providing technical support to clients. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the internet is required.

Volunteer must feel comfortable enforcing computer lab rules.

Time Commitment: At this point, JFS Orlando is asking for a weekly time commitment of three hours.

Shifts are available Tuesday: 4 PM - 7 PM, Wednesday: 1 PM - 4 PM, Thursday: 9 AM - 12PM

Training: Volunteer MUST attend an orientation before volunteering in the lab.

Volunteers MUST complete and pass online HIPAA and ACCESS trainings in addition to training

on resume writing.
