We are looking for volunteers to offer classes, groups, or events at Women Sanctuary. Women Sanctuary is a community building wellness center that offers free classes, groups, and events through an all volunteer staff. You can see our current schedule here: http://womensanctuary.org/schedule

Right now we are particularly interested in anyone willing to lead a drum circle or do a henna class, although we welcome new ideas as well. Training would be provided. Volunteers could commit to a weekly time slot or monthly time slot, and could do more than one if wanted. We are asking for a consistent schedule for September through December, with the opportunity to continue volunteering next year if desired. Examples of classes and activities would be guided meditation, children's story time, support groups, open hours for helping people fill out paperwork (job applications, DSS paperwork, WIC, etc.), craft classes, writing classes, and a variety of other opportunities. Training and support would be provided. This is a great way to meet new people, build a community, and assist our brand new nonprofit in growing to meet the needs of Rochester women. If you are interested in this opportunity, contact jennie@womensanctuary.org and we will schedule you for an orientation date. Thank you!
