Contra Costa Interfaith Housing provides permanent, affordable housing to formerly homeless and extremely poverty-impacted families and individuals with special needs in Contra Costa County.

Position Summary: The Receptionist is responsible for the efficient operations of CCIH’s administrative offices. The role will be responsible for the creation and implementation of a variety of administrative activities as well as supporting the Administrative Manager. The role is significant and requires an individual who can anticipate needs, has excellent follow through and can positively handle many different and diverse responsibilities effectively and efficiently with a positive attitude.

Essential Job Functions

Office Management

  1. Greets and welcomes visitors, directing them to the appropriate person.
  2. Answer, screen and forward incoming calls
  3. Provides general administrative support to the office staff for faxing, scanning, etc.
  4. Organize and maintain paper and electronic files.
  5. Collect and distribute mail.
  6. Endorse incoming checks from clients and donors, and distribute accordingly.
  7. Maintains inventory of office supplies and orders/purchases supplies as needed.
  8. Organize conference room bookings.
  9. Ensures clean and tidy maintenance of the administrative office suite.
  10. Supports executive director and other administrative staff with scheduling, documentation preparation, communications, electronic processing and miscellaneous off-site tasks.
  11. Accepts and performs other job duties as required.

Position Qualifications:

  • Extensive business office experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Comfortable working with technology and have thorough knowledge of Microsoft and other software programs.
  • Must pass LiveScan screening and TB test. (covered by CCIH)
