Mission Statement
Laubach Literacy Council of San Diego County, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides tutors of ESL (English as a Second Language) to adults. The organization also trains tutors through professionally led workshops.
Description
Anyone with a working knowledge of English and a caring and patient attitude can become a Laubach tutor. Teaching experience is not necessary, nor do you need to know the student's native language. If you are willing to volunteer 2 or more hours per week and you can attend a tutor-training workshop to receive instruction in the Laubach method, you are on your way to becoming a tutor.
