Objectives of Service This community builder with an eye to long-term will aid in design and implementation of structures of ongoing contact, support, and engagement of our students and alumni, building diverse and powerful cohorts and therein organically growing Shakti. Outcome of Service Thriving in this position means deftly tending a vibrant network of students in each region and cross-regionally who recognize one another as wisdom community, seeking and offering support as well as pro-actively recruiting for all Shakti programs. Length of Expected Term 6-12 months Time Commitment 5-10 hours per week Required Qualifications You gotta love people! And have a lived experience of the power of learning in community. Previous work with long-distance community-building and/or the desire to build that skill is a must. Consistent, open communication, follow-through, a welcoming way of being, and pro-active, creative engagement strategies. Familiarity with and love for the obstacles and opportunities that often accompany transformational learning experiences. Description
Shakti Rising is active across the USA. We work with volunteers from all over the United States and beyond. We have three program areas: Transformational Recovery, Shakti Feminine University, and Transformation Through Service. Our three programs support women and the larger community to dive deeply into their own personal recovery, education, and leadership development. Our volunteer program is a leadership program, we are a living laboratory of leading from the feminine.
